The Danish company DAT-Schaub celebrated its 25th anniversary in Porto on July 2nd and the Danish Ambassador, Michael Suhr was among the guests celebrating this great milestone.
It all started back in 1893 when DAT-Schaub was founded in Esbjerg, Denmark with only 4 employees cleaning and selecting Danish hog casings. In 1991 it acquired a factory in Porto, and later obtained another facility in Alandroal in the Alentejo. Nowadays the DAT-Schaub Group employs approximately 2,000 employees, primarily in Europe.
It was great to see more than 500 employees so happy and content with their achievements here in Portugal during the 25 years building and expanding on two factories. Dat-Schaub is now world leader in its field of speciality - castings for sausages. Who does not enjoy that?
